Mike's Mountain Birthday

For the past few years, because there's nothing better than springtime in the mountains, we head west for Mike's May 15th birthday. This year we stayed at the new Westin Riverfront hotel in Avon which is absolutely fabulous. Our room was huge, it had a living room, dining room table, full kitchen, and of course views of the beautiful mountains. Meatball and Frisco loved their bowls, treats, and fluffy beds the hotel provides their furry guests.

I was so excited to give Mike his gift. I ordered it from Chic Canvas, they put your photos onto canvas turning it into art. It turned out perfect!

They even let you inscribe words on the side.

This is the park in town where we always walk around the lake and let the dogs sniff and play.

It was a perfect spring day.

I loved how you could see the sky in the still water of this pond.

Our friends Ashley and Alex came up too, she shares the same birthday with Mike. We made a salad and munchies and enjoyed our own private happy hour in our room.
